New "Glow" Feature

I've been playing around with the new features in Creative Memories' StoryBook Creator 3.0, and this is an example of the "Glow" feature. I used it on the word "Maude." It's a fun alternative to a shadow, and you can customize the color of the glow to match anything you want. So fun!

Scrapbooking the First Day of School

Sending your kids off to school that first day is special; be sure to capture it for your scrapbooks! Here are some tips that will help:

1. Take a photo in the same place each year.
We do ours by the front door. This allows me to see how the kids have grown over the years.

2. Capture the "everyday" things about school.
My kids take the bus, so I'm sure to take photos at the bus stop, even if I drive them that first day.

3. Make the day festive.
We hang streamers from the kids' door frames while they are sleeping. Of course, the streamers are in their school colors. We've also decorated the mirror in their bathroom to help them start the year on a positive note.

Quick Photo Brag Page

It happens all the time...we have lots of photos to share, but we don't necessarily want to print all of them out just to show off.

My solution is to create a quick brag page. I use Creative Memories' StoryBook Creator Plus software and create a collage. It's easy to add background paper, text and even graphics. I just create it in the 4x6" size and then print it as if it's a single photo.

Here is one I created of our new puppy so my kids could share photos of her with their friends at school...isn't she adorable???

Another Fun Holiday Idea!

Here's another fun holiday project! I filled Ziploc Snack Size bags with red hots (sometimes called cinnamon imperials) and folded this label over the top. Two staples, and you're done!

Fun and Easy Christmas Gifts!

I have been having fun making these labels with my Creative Memories software (StoryBook Creator Plus). I did a custom size that would fit over a Ziploc Snack Size bag. I put mini marshmallows in the bag, sealed it, and then stapled this label on the top. They are too cute!
